Just came across this great site, Canuxploitation, which is devoted to the exploitation film industry in Canada. Every kind of genre from horror to screwball comedies and more are covered, with a large selection of reviews to choose from. There's a primer for anyone who needs to get up to speed on this neglected segment of film history.

A whole lot is happening all at once, but until I get used to this new schedule, I don't have a whole lot of time to talk about it.

However, I saw a movie trailer last night that actually gave me nightmares. Believe it or not, it was for the Dawn of the Dead remake. Who would have thought it?

I had mixed feelings about Cabin Fever. Most of it was excellent, but there were a huge amount of plot holes and an ending that retroactively stripped the entire movie of most of its shock value. Still, I'm considering checking it out now that it's on dvd.

In other horror news, Night of the Demons is coming to dvd, and there's a rumour going around that Leonardo Dicaprio may be involved in a remake of Cannibal Holocaust.

I had a dream last night where I was in a deparment store with my brothers. I had two giant-sized sticker books. The sticker books had red covers, 25-cent price tags, and the stickers were the type you punch out and lick like stamps. I showed one of the sticker books to a clerk and asked if they had any more books like it. She told me they didn't. I started to leave the store, and the clerk told me she would have to hold onto the sticker books until they determined that the books were not store property. I told her to get lost, and ran out with my books but without my brothers, so that they would not be implicated should I get arrested.

I swear, there are times when I believe that someone out there is making wonderful films that cater solely to my interests. Mainstream Ottawa-based Lesbian Tentacle Porn would be one such example.
